WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Organization's Human Resources Department.Maintains accurate and up-to-date personnel files, records, and documentation.
Conducts daily onboarding tasks including sending Offer Letters, New Hire documentation, processing background checks, completing I-9 verification forms, conducting I-9 verification calls, and setting up new hires in the payroll software.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Generalist and/or Manager.
Provides administrative support to maintain the HR inbox, as approved.
Processes internal pay changes and promotions as requested, ensuring that all changes are accurately tracked on internal resources.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of personnel files and records.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately; ensures the New Hire Checklist is completed at the end of each calendar month.
Provides clerical support to the HR Department at the direction of the HR Generalist and HR Manager.
Acts as a liaison between the Organization and PEO, as needed.
Participates in Company Culture initiatives, including appreciation efforts, new hire check-ins, and related projects, as assigned.
Seeks to become self-educated on the Company’s personnel policies, procedures, and practices.
Conducts research projects, as assigned.
Records accurate data for each employee, and saves relevant communication from inbox inquiries, as needed.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, Organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, and new hire orientation.
Follow all policies and procedures for the department and Company, including personnel policies and expectations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
6+ months of HR or relative experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resources platforms & software.

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
